A cold & spicy treat

It was a scorchingly hot day this morning escpecially since a few of us decided to thread the abandoned Pekeliling flats for a morning photoshoot. The decision to satisfy our rumbling tummies thereafter to lunch in the Semua House foodcourt, while it did bring upon some initial doubts on the quality ( read = yumminess) of the food, I'm now glad to say it was a good decision after all. The quality of the food certainly didn't fail us :D

One yummy bowl of curry laksa later and I discover my buddy savouring this little baby from the adjacent Punjabi food stall and I simply had to create space in my tummy for it.

It's interesting to note that this rare find actually has a Wiki entry. Thairu vadai or Dahi Vada is an indian savoury dish which has the vadai ( a fried lentil cake) doused with cold yogurt and topped with spices.

The taste & texture :
Cold and sourish yogurt with soft bite of the well soaked vada with great taste parcels of added spices. A great treat at RM 1 a piece.

Location :
Punjabi food stall @ the Food Court, Lower Ground , Semua House, 3, Lorong Bonus 6, 50100 Kuala Lumpur.
